In a world where everything is mass produced and machine made, Adidas originals embarks on a journey around the world, picking up traditional fabrics on the way and using them to reinterpret iconic adidas styles. Available in limited quantities, these pieces are made using 100% authentic fabrics from around the world. Often hand-woven, hand-dyed or hand-stitched these fabrics represent a return to more traditional values and a representation of the countries the fabrics came from originally.

The very act of creating a batik-made fabric has strond symbolic meaning for the javanese. It is said that each time the batik craftsman executes a particular intricate pattern the design ist not only fixed to the cloth, but the meaning of the design is engraved ever more deeply in the soul of the artisan. This highly skilled process, involving complicated dyeing and dye-resist processes, is regarded highly by many indonesians as one of the "Six Priyayi" (mights) or "High Arts".
With the latest Adidas campaign "Materials of the World" the Metro Attitue is relaunched and redesigned in noble indonesian style. Dark brown suede on finest batik-made cloth, worked with yellow / black patterns.
